Consignment Concierge

In today's fashion-conscious world, the desire to stay stylish and on-trend is ever-present. However, the pursuit of luxury fashion can be expensive and often leads to overflowing closets filled with items that are seldom worn. Thankfully, there's a sustainable and cost-effective solution that allows fashion enthusiasts to both refresh their wardrobe and recoup some of their investment: consigning luxury shoes, clothing, and accessories.

Consignment Concierge is a one-stop-shop for all of your consignment needs. We help you manage and sell your luxury clothing items adding value back into your closet, while preserving the planet. Our Consignment Concierge service empowers our clients to give a second life to their gently used luxury items, which might have otherwise ended up in landfills. This not only extends the lifespan of these products but also reduces the need for new manufacturing, which often involves the extraction of resources and energy consumption. In this way, we are contributing to the reduction of our carbon footprint and minimizing the strain on natural resources.

It aligns with our values of sustainability and eco-conscious living.

We also help you donate gently worn pieces to charities in need.

SUSTAINABILITY IN FASHION

Make the world a better place one consignment piece at a time!

Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly.

Did you know…

The fashion industry is one of the worlds main polluting industries. This is happening during a time when climate change is threatening our planet in a negative way. By slowing down the supply chain and only buying what we need, we can help combat climate change and lower our carbon footprints.

  • Eight to 10 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions comes from the fashion industry, which is more than the aviation and maritime shipping industries combined.

  • The fashion industry produces and sells somewhere between 80 billion and 150 billion garments a year globally.

  • Nearly three-fifths of all clothing produced ends up in incinerators or landfills within years of being made.

  • The world now consumes about 80 billion new pieces of clothing every year. This is 400% more than the amount we consumed just two decades ago.

OUR PROCESS

  • We assess your consignment pieces in-depth during your Consignment Concierge Appointment to determine the potential value of each piece.

If needed, we also dry clean and/or repair pieces to maximize value and potential profit.

    Please note:

10+ pieces are required for consignment with our Everyday Style services.

20+ pieces (including 5 high end luxury pieces) are required for our standalone service.

  • We prepare to send your consignment pieces to our trusted consignment partners for further evaluation.

After pieces are accepted, they are photographed and listed on online for millions of shoppers to view. Items that are not accepted by the online platform are brought to local consignment boutiques to optimize selling potential. We attempt to match your pieces to the best boutiques to ensure you get paid top dollar!

  • We monitor your consignments and notify you when pieces sell.

Pieces that do not sell or that are rejected through our online platform, are presented to local consignment boutiques for consideration.

Any left over pieces are then donated to local charities. Clients receive a tax deductible donation receipt within 30 days of donation.

  • After all of your pieces have sold you’ll receive electronic payment via ZELLE, PayPal or back to your original credit card (this is the credit card used to schedule your service.)

You are also welcome to apply consignment payments towards any service at anytime. You will receive a BMD Gift Card with the value of your consignment payout if you decided to apply your payout towards a future service.

*please note: gift cards are non-refundable.
